Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working in a hardware system development environment.
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
- Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hardware platforms, including Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience working in a hardware system development environment.
- Experience with data center engineering, AI/ML, server, storage and networking products.
- Experience in solving system issues, technical innovation and drive technical roadmap.
- Ability to collect and organize details to reproduce results and explain findings.
In this role, you will design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most effective computing infrastructure. You will see those systems from concepts all the way through to manufacturing, shaping the machinery that goes into our data centers and affecting millions of Google users. Our Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team designs and builds the hardware and software technologies that power all of Google’s services, addressing complex computational challenges with cutting‑edge custom hardware.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $188,000 - $275,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits.
Responsibilities- Lead a system and hardware design on data center hardware products.
- Bring up systems and execute engineering validation in the lab.
- Gather requirements, define architecture, execute hardware design and product validation.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, product, and deployment teams to productize designs and field support.
- Drive product from concept to production.
