We are looking for you to join our Launcher Electronics Group as an Electrical Engineer - Integrated Analog/Digital Design Level 3 /4for the development and ongoing support of new and existing electrical designs used in surface ship and submarine launch control systems for the US Navy located in Sunnyvale, CA. The prospective candidate researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems for Department of Defense, commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

The Strategic Launcher Directorate consists of incredible people with backgrounds in Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineers with focus on Control Systems and Electronics Design. The Launcher Electronics Group is one facet of the Hardware Engineering community here at Northrop Grumman, Sunnyvale, CA campus which also includes Mechanical Design, Thermal and Structural Analysis, and Materials Analysis to name a few. The Launcher Electronics group is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Integrated Analog/Digital Design Level 3 /4 with knowledge and experience with design and test of analog and digital circuitry, cable design, data acquisition systems, and electronic control systems including motors, mechanical actuators, and sensors. The candidate should also have a strong knowledge of electronic test equipment, test methods, and troubleshooting. The ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter are requirements for this position.

This position located in Sunnyvale, CA.

This requisition may be filled at a Level 3 or a Level 4 based on the qualifications listed below:

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5 years of related experience; or a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 3 years of related experience
• Mastery of analog (Op-amps, regulators, RF) and digital (logic, microprocessors, FPGAs) circuits using tools like pSpice, LTspice, and MATLAB.
• Expertise in hardware interfaces and encoding schemes including UART, I2C, CANBUS, and high-speed Ethernet (10/100/1000
  
  BASE-T).
• Proficiency in EMI/EMC troubleshooting (MIL-STD/FCC), complex PCB layout (signal/power integrity), and firmware development in C, C++, or Python.
• Lifecycle & Support:
  Ability to manage the full product cycle, from vendor selection and quality control to resolving high-level technical field issues for customers.
