You will be part of something bigger. This is where the best are built. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Contamination Control Engineer. In this role, you will:

-Review plans for new products and factors, such as strength, weight, and cost to submit material selection recommendations ensuring attainment of design objectives.

-Plan and implement laboratory operations to develop material and fabrication procedures for new materials to fulfill product cost and performance standards.

-Confer with producers of materials, such as metals, ceramics, and polymers, during investigation and evaluation of materials suitable for specific product applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college/university.
• This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen. Desired

Skills:

• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Experience implementing contamination control for space applications or related field
• Experience with precision cleaning of hardware or producing verification products for government customers
• Knowledge of Materials and Processes for product development, improvement, design, application and production" Security Clearance Statement:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
