Component Parts Engineer, Sr

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working in Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) on a program
• Experience with Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) parts performance requirements and specifications
• Experience with mechanical parts performance requirements and specifications
• Willingness/Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

• Become an expert in the engineering design tools and recommend and evaluate tool enhancements
• Perform data maintenance for Parts and Specifications in the PMP Database and EPDM
• Drive selection of preferred PMP, factoring in need and cost and ensuring attainment of design objectives
• Support subject matter experts and PMP database users with recommended solutions to data issues
• Work on projects to support engineering design tools

• Active or current Secret security clearance
• Experience successfully completing projects and/or multi‑discipline team efforts by applying technical knowledge and leadership skills
• Documentation engineering experience: plans and coordinates preparation of documentation to balance technical, cost and schedule needs
• Advanced proficiency in software tools such as MS Office (Access, Excel, Project), SAP, and other business tools for configuration management and quality control (e.g., SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, LIMS)
• Experience using Excel pivot tables for data reporting
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Experience mentoring peers on company processes and passing on technical knowledge
• Familiarity with UK and European parts and processes standards
• Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates with a customer focus
• Experience across multiple programmatic phases (design reviews, manufacturing reviews, flight hardware deliveries)
• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Onsite, full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
