Lockheed Martin Space designs and operates spacecraft, launch‑vehicle avionics, and scientific payloads that must execute precise trajectories, maintain stable attitudes, and perform autonomous maneuvers in the space environment. The Flight‑Sciences Systems Engineer is the technical bridge between flight‑dynamics theory and the hardware/software that implements it.

Responsibilities

You will develop the models, algorithms, and analysis tools that predict vehicle behavior, generate guidance commands, and certify flight‑software performance for a variety of missions (e.g., orbit insertion, lunar descent, formation‑flying constellations, re‑entry).

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • An active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Ability to work onsite in Littleton, CO;
    King of Prussia, PA;
    Sunnyvale, CA; or Huntsville, AL.
