Job DescriptionThe Reality Labs team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of silicon, hardware, software, and content. The Reality Labs team seeks an AMS Silicon Validation Engineer.
Job Responsibilities- Responsible for SoC and E2E system validation plan development and execution
- Develop FW tooling for debug and validation
- Understand system HW/SW/FW components as a whole and perform test execution and debugging
- Power and performance characterization on pre-silicon platforms and post-silicon validation boards
- Create diagnostic and validation tools to test firmware functionality, performance, and reliability
- Able to work in an agile environment, adapt validation plans based on changing roadmaps
- Hands-on experience in bring-up and validation of complex SoCs; 3+ years of embedded systems or firmware development experience
- Experience in scripting languages like Python; ability to read and debug FW/baremetal code in C; high proficiency in C is preferred
- Familiarity with firmware testing frameworks and automation; proficiency with JTAG debuggers
- Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues
- Preferred Knowledge and experience in pre-silicon validation platforms (e.g., FPGA and emulation)
- Preferred Proficiency in lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and analyzers
- Good verbal and written communication skills; basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience
