Noise Vibration and Harshness Engineer Level 2 or 3 – Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities- Use classical analysis techniques to establish an understanding of machinery acoustic performance and resolve issues.
- Develop a variety of component and system level predictive / simulation models.
- Perform modal, vibration, modal, direct frequency response, and sound transmission analyses to predict performance and resolve issues.
- Gather data from tests, and analyze the results.
- Correlate model predictions to test data to validate the approach / model.
- Work closely with cross‑function internal and customer teams.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with no relevant work experience.
- Experience with simulation software tools:
Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus, MATLAB (or similar). - Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience; or Ph.D. in STEM with no relevant work experience.
- Experience with simulation software tools:
Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus, MATLAB (or similar). - Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Experience in developing system‑level finite element models.
- Experience in performing a classical and finite element analysis solution types.
- Experience collecting and analyzing large data sets.

The above salary range is a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions when determining an offer.
