Mechanical Product Design Engineer III
The Mechanical Product Design Engineer III role at Google involves working within a fast‑paced multi‑disciplinary team to tackle various engineering challenges. The engineer will utilize their creativity and engineering expertise to design, analyze, and prototype new concepts in a manufacturing‑oriented environment. This position focuses on developing high‑speed I/O and interconnect cables and connectors, contributing to the advancement of Google’s product offerings.
The role also emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- 3 years of experience using computer‑aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
