This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Sunnyvale CA and work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like? You will be the technical lead serving as the Responsible Product Engineer for overseeing the Thrust Vector Actuator (TVA) system redesign effort. You will lead and coordinate technical design evaluation, changes, own production release, delivery, and all aspects of engineering closeouts (Discrepancy Reports (DR);
End-Item Data Packages (EIDP), Material Review Board (MRB), Failure Review Board (FRB), etc.) You will partner and coordinate with suppliers as required. Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Drive TVA redesign across multiple sites and teams (electronics packaging, PWB/CCA design, integration, manufacturing, final assembly).
• Produce and release engineering drawings and specifications.
• Lead requirements definition, concept studies, and detailed design.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes; qualify hardware through testing.
• Manage discrepancy resolution, failure investigations, and corrective action implementation.
• Support producibility, cost reduction, and obsolescence mitigation initiatives.
• Perform data analysis to validate performance and guide design decisions.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

• Prior product technical ownership experience.
• Experience with design and development of high-reliability electronics or electromechanical systems.
• 5+ years of experience.
• While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
