Lockheed Martin is seeking a Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer for a position in the Mechanical Manufacturing Center (MMC), located in Sunnyvale, CA. The MMC Manufacturing Engineering team supports a variety of production areas, including antenna fabrication, electronics, traditional machining, mechanism assembly, composite fabrication, and structural assembly. The chosen candidate would join the antenna fabrication team and support the assembly of RF antenna products.
BasicQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Professional experience structuring and creating MBOMs in SAP/MES (VE-CAMs, Windchill, Apriso).
- Applied experience leveraging manufacturing and assembly process knowledge to translate engineering BOMs & Drawings into workable instructions.
- Works well with multi-disciplinary teams, self-motivated problem solver, and strong communication skills.
- Previous hands-on manufacturing experience, or manufacturing/design engineering experience (i.e. soldering, torquing, bonding, small-scale assembly work, etc.).
-1 Year of related professional experience or internships
-US Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance

- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field with 2+ years of related experience in aerospace manufacturing/electronics manufacturing.
- Experience in reading/reviewing engineering drawings for assemblies and the ability to give DFx input for small mechanical assemblies
- Ability to collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills complementing the ability to make timely, balanced decisions
- Ability to design and integrate tooling systems (i.e 3D printing, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing technologies) - Understanding and application of fundamental GD&T principles.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems or industry equivalent processes (Manufacturing Work Instructions, Routings, Production Orders, Bill of Materials, Q-Notes, FOE/FOD, etc.).
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems or industry equivalent tools (ERP/SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, etc.)
