Job DescriptionLockheed Martin Space will be hosting an invitation-only hiring event in very early September in Sunnyvale, CA. This requisition is to capture Mechanical Engineering candidates to invite to the hiring event. We will be reviewing all Mechanical Engineer applicant resumes and contacting those that meet all of the Basic Qualifications and Desired Skills and may be a fit for one of our open roles.
If invited to the event, you will be provided with all the details regarding date, time, and location. We will be interviewing candidates at Level 2 through Level 5 for roles on several different programs, including LM Space, the Next Generation Interceptor, Remote Sensing, and many other efforts where your expertise will be put to the test. The positions are on-site 100% of the time.

• Experience creating 2D Engineering drawings
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 including GD&T and tolerance stack up analyses.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes including documentation, machining, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment and assembly
• Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US citizenship is required.
• Experience creating 3D designs (CREO or equivalent)
• Experience with product lifecycle management (EPDM or equivalent)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality…)
• Knowledgeable at a systems level in the areas of stress, propulsion, harness design, materials, and electrical design/analysis
• Experience with flight hardware and ground support equipment design
• Experience with model based definition experience
• Hands-on hardware experience
• Additive manufacturing experience
• Familiar with design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Familiarity with Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
