- Lead on-site integrations and deployments, customizing solutions and configuring hardware and software stacks built on ROS and ROS
2. - Design, develop and deliver prototypes, demos and proof-of-concepts to prove value for Field Applications and engineering stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues in the field, perform root-cause analysis, and implement robust fixes in collaboration with R&D and support teams.
- Develop perception pipelines and sensor integrations (e.g., LiDAR, stereo cameras, IMU) and tune algorithms for real-world performance.
- Provide technical training, workshops, and documentation for customers and partners to accelerate adoption and best practices.
- Collect customer feedback, track feature requests and bug reports, and communicate product insights to product management and engineering teams.
- Create detailed application notes, integration guides, and case studies that capture lessons learned and accelerate future Field Application work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with ROS and ROS2, including building nodes, messages, and deployment strategies in field environments.
- Proven experience with perception technologies (computer vision, point cloud processing, sensor fusion) and integrating sensors into robotic systems.
- Strong software engineering skills in C++ and Python, with experience in system-level debugging and performance profiling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading technical discussions with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to travel to customer sites regularly and work independently on customer engagements.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, real-time constraints, and cross-disciplinary collaboration between hardware and software engineering teams.
- Self-motivated problem solver with a customer-first mindset and the ability to translate customer needs into engineering requirements.
Benefits:
- Base: $135K-$220K
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Flexible vacation and time-off policy
- Collaborative, fast-paced, and inclusive work environment
