- Experience designing, building, or deploying manufacturing test solutions (Functional Test (FVT), System-level Test, Burn-in, or Stress Test) for compute, server, rack, or electro-mechanical hardware.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience developing automated manufacturing test hardware, custom electronics, fixturing, instrumentation, and test scripts using Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience managing the end-to-end NPI test lifecycle, from authoring initial product-specific test plans and driving test coverage metrics to qualifying test stations for mass production handoff.
- Experience in hardware troubleshooting, analyzing production failure data, and collaborating with partners or suppliers to drive quality improvements.
- Deep understanding of server/compute architecture, high-density server motherboards, PCIe interfaces, power delivery, firmware/BIOS interaction, and custom silicon integration.

As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you are right there alongside ensuring manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with commodity managers and design engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications.
Your work ensures the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.
