DFX Engineer

As a DFX Engineer at Meta, you will be essential in driving manufacturing progress and preparing Reality Labs (RL) products for mass production. You will work closely with teams focused on Virtual Reality, Wearables, and Smart Glasses to address complex manufacturing challenges through early design interventions, development of advanced/repeatable processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your efforts will help guarantee that Meta’s innovative devices are scalable, cost-efficient, and meet the highest quality standards.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing, or process engineering
• Experience with CAD software (NX Preferred)
• Experience in automation and machine design for high precision manufacturing
• GD&T and tolerance analysis experience
• Competency in statistical software such as JMP or Mini Tab
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers in Asia Pacific
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in leveraging AI tools to perform routine tasks
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing operations
• Cleanroom manufacturing experience
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
