Job Description & How to Apply Below

Meta Reality Labs is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to help define the future of augmented and virtual reality hardware. In this role, you will set the long-term electrical architecture strategy for next-generation wearable devices, AI glasses, and wearables, driving innovation across power delivery, mixed-signal design, and system-level electrical integration. You will operate at the intersection of cutting-edge consumer electronics and spatial computing, shaping the electrical foundations that enable immersive human experiences at scale.

  • 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering for consumer electronics, wearables, or similarly constrained portable hardware products
  • Experience defining electrical system architecture across power management, mixed-signal design, high-speed interfaces (e.g., USB, PCIe, MIPI, LPDDR), and RF coexistence in compact form-factor devices
  • Experience leading electrical design from concept through mass production, including schematic design, PCB layout review, bring-up, and DVT/PVT validation
  • Experience driving cross-functional technical alignment across silicon, mechanical, firmware, and systems engineering disciplines
  • Experience communicating complex electrical architecture decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders at the executive level
  • Experience with electrical design for AI glasses, wearables, or other head-worn wearable devices with stringent power, thermal, and size constraints
  • Experience with electrical reliability engineering, failure mode analysis, and qualification methodologies for consumer wearable hardware
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience with wireless subsystem integration including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and UWB coexistence in wearable platforms
  • Experience influencing external silicon or component supplier roadmaps to meet differentiated product requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
