Job Description & How to Apply Below

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex programs for our silicon development initiatives. The Silicon team is responsible for custom chip design and development powering Meta's products. Meta TPMs operate at the intersection of technical execution and our product teams, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and a variety of cross-functional teams to bring products to market. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who will be an integral part of the Silicon TPM team, driving silicon development programs from concept to production.

TPMs at Meta are experienced leaders with technical and program management skills who are skilled at communicating with all levels of the company. This role is for someone who has a commitment to delivering silicon products with quality and efficiency, driving execution across design, verification, and manufacturing. We look for technical program managers who have a solid technical foundation in silicon development, are motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution.

Responsibilities
  • Drive cross-organizational and portfolio partners to own and execute several large-scale silicon work streams to meet goals, building partnerships with managers and engineers across design, verification, and manufacturing teams
  • Bootstrap programs in ambiguous areas, managing multiple cross-organization or cross-company interdependencies related to silicon development and tape-out schedules
  • Monitor and report on program progress, including risks and issues, and take necessary actions to mitigate them across silicon development milestones
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership and thought leadership across multiple organizations and influence strategic direction impacting long-term plans for silicon development in collaboration with engineering leaders and stakeholders
  • Resolve conflicts, maintain clarity on priorities, and drive progress on execution of silicon programs
  • Resolve intra-organizational issues and escape or drive solutions to cross-organizational issues related to silicon schedules, design dependencies, and manufacturing readiness
  • Drive with technical expertise within the team, coordinating and contributing to engineering deliverables for silicon design and verification
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, verification, tape-out, and post-silicon validation phases
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in silicon development, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management with an emphasis on chip development and tape-out programs
  • Proven experience delivering complex silicon programs and/or products from inception to production
  • Proficiency in understanding silicon design requirements, gathering specifications, and defining project scope to ensure alignment with product objectives
  • Experience operating across multiple teams in a silicon development environment, with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership
  • Experience in defining and optimizing silicon engineering processes at scale
  • Experience shaping strategy/direction and identifying new opportunities for impact across silicon platforms and programs
  • Experience communicating effectively at the executive level and influencing leadership and technical management teams regarding silicon development readiness and risk
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and foundry relationships
  • Experience managing programs with external partners or vendors in the semiconductor ecosystem
  • Experience with ASIC/SoC development lifecycle from architecture through production
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience with RTL design, verification methodologies, or physical design flows
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Knowledge of power, performance, and area (PPA) trade-offs in silicon design
  • Experience with hardware/software co-development and system integration
