Automation Quality Engineer

The Automation Quality Engineer will be part of the Product Systems Quality Display team at Apple, focusing on display validation to ensure the reliability and performance of products with external displays. This role involves developing sophisticated automated testing fixtures and robotics solutions to maintain high quality standards. The engineer will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and partner with various teams to understand new technologies.

The position requires creative problem‑solving at the intersection of robotics and consumer electronics testing.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• A minimum of two years experience developing robotic solutions in Python with experience in complex, multi‑language systems
• Experience with computer vision (OpenCV) and/or AI/ML applications
• Strong software engineering skills, delivering clean, well‑tested, and optimized code
• Technical knowledge of I/O technologies, including graphic interfaces (Thunderbolt, DP, HDMI, USB, etc.)
• Experience using and/or creating AI tools for development or robotic applications
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks and tools that expand test coverage in complex system environments
• Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive validation test plans
• Hands‑on experience with 3D CAD modeling (Solid Works, Fusion 360) and fabrication (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.)
