You are an Application Engineer with strong expertise in VLSI design and hands‑on experience with high‑speed interface protocols such as Ethernet, DDR, and PCIe. You bring a solid background in design, verification, or application engineering, along with practical experience in simulation, synthesis, and static timing analysis. You are comfortable working across the ASIC/SoC flow, from IP integration through tape‑out and into silicon and system bring‑up.

You are a strong technical contributor who can work independently, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams. You know how to bring clarity to technical challenges, support integration milestones, and help drive successful customer outcomes. You thrive in a UNIX environment, communicate clearly in English, and are comfortable supporting global customer engagements, including occasional travel.

• Supporting Interface IP customers with integration across the SoC design flow
• Providing technical guidance to help resolve integration, implementation, and debug challenges
• Assisting with technical reviews at key milestones and helping customers work through issues efficiently
• Supporting silicon and system bring‑up, including hands‑on debug of critical issues
• Partnering with R&D, product teams, and field teams to deliver solutions aligned to customer requirements
• Staying current on evolving industry standards, protocol requirements, and application trends across key market segments
• Supporting customer engagements through occasional travel, including on‑site technical collaboration and bring‑up activities

• Helping customers successfully integrate Synopsys Interface IP into complex SoC designs
• Reducing technical obstacles by providing practical support across important design and bring‑up stages
• Strengthening customer confidence through responsive technical partnership and effective problem‑solving
• Contributing to successful product deployment across next‑generation designs using advanced interface IP
• Supporting Synopsys’ reputation as a trusted partner in engineering solutions from silicon to systems

• BSEE/BSCE or MSEE/MSCE with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent experience with a focus on VLSI design
• Experience in design, verification, or application engineering
• Proficiency in RTL coding using Verilog and/or VHDL
• Experience with high‑speed protocols such as Ethernet, DDR, and PCIe
• Hands‑on experience with simulation, synthesis, and static timing analysis
• Familiarity with UNIX environments and ASIC/SoC tape‑out processes
• Knowledge of CDC, RDC, lint, DFT, STA, and LEC is a plus

• A strong technical problem solver with the ability to work independently on complex issues
• Effective at collaborating across teams and building credibility with customers and engineering partners
• Clear and confident in verbal and written communication
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, customer‑facing environment
• Open to occasional travel in support of customer engagements

This team works closely with Interface IP customers to support integration into complex SoC designs, solve critical technical issues, and enable successful silicon bring‑up. As a Senior Staff Application Engineer, you would play an important role in helping customers navigate technical challenges while contributing to strong customer outcomes across a range of market segments.
