The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for all research, design, development, test, and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. We make amazing products - and we're constantly trying to make them even better.

Responsibilities

Design and perform laboratory experiments in Apple labs to characterize camera prototypes for design validation and failure analysis
Define and execute characterization and validation plans, develop quantitative metrics and analysis to evaluate performance, develop new test equipment and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing BS MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently pursuing BS MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics or a related discipline.
Experience using Matlab, Python, C#, or C++ for lab equipment control and data collection
Experience in image processing and quantitative imaging analysis with Matlab or Python
Experience in hands-on lab setups involving camera, optics, and EE
Experience with 3D CAD mechanical design for fixtures is a plus
Experience with board level circuit debug and soldering is a plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
