Onda Corporation is a leader in measurement instruments serving the medical and industrial ultrasound markets. Our customers range from Fortune 10 companies to research laboratories worldwide. We are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) to drive engineering initiatives for both new product introductions (NPI) and existing product sustaining efforts.

In this dual-function role, you will combine technical expertise with project management rigor to lead cross-functional design efforts, manage engineering changes, and interface directly with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs). You will act as a key technical leader and escalation point for Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Marketing teams.

• Project Management:
  Plan and coordinate project timelines, technical deliverables, and cross-functional alignment across development cycles.
• ECO Ownership:
  Serve as the primary driver for the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process. Chair the weekly ECO review board meeting to evaluate, approve, and implement design modifications efficiently.
• Documentation & Release:
  Drive the end-to-end documentation and release process for new designs and revisions. Maintain technical drawing packages, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications to ensure compliance before production release.
• Design & Optimization:
  Support electro-mechanical design projects from initial concept through full lifecycle support. Enhance reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost-effectiveness of electro-mechanical assemblies.

  Act as the primary technical interface with internal subject matter experts and external technical partners, and suppliers.
• Escalation Support:
  Serve as a primary technical escalation point to resolve complex engineering issues for Manufacturing (process yield improvements) and Marketing (customer-driven feature requests) and Support (reliability issues).

• Education:
  
  B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of electro-mechanical product design experience, paired with demonstrated project management responsibility.
• Process Mastery:
  Deep familiarity with PLM systems and structured Product Life Cycle processes; hands-on experience managing standard ECO/ECN workflows.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, understanding of PCB assembly integration, cabling/harness design, vacuum equipment, and enclosure mechanics.
• Communication:
  Exceptional cross-functional leadership and technical communication skills with proven success interfacing with external vendors, shop-floor technicians, and business stakeholders.
