About the Job
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it is modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will work on multiple projects at a time, focusing on the details while finding creative ways to take on big‑picture challenges.
In this role you will lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking, and control processes. You will provide senior‑level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. You will work on planning, process and risk management, control, opportunity identification, and analytics, collaborating with businesses across the organization.
CompensationUS: $116,000 - $167,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
- Experience managing FP&A for data center functions.
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
- Ability to partner and collaborate across stakeholders.
- Experience with SQL and excellent financial modeling skills.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity in an unstructured environment.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
- Collaborate with business partners to optimize planning, forecasting, and management of the data center operating teams.
- Use investigative and modeling skills to help drive investment decisions, reduce risks, make resource trade‑offs while keeping agility for the business.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Business/Product teams to ensure a holistic approach for decision making, regulatory compliance, accurate analytics and reporting, and data collection.
- Work with management across Finance and the business to drive key financial metrics and improve financial insight and practices.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure optimal management, Return On Investment (ROI) metrics, and resource allocation.
