Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst – Sunnyvale, CA

Overview

As a Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst (PCA) you will lead Program Control initiatives across the Launcher Operating Unit portfolio within Marine Systems, supporting EVMS Level 1 programs and a variety of contract types.

Responsibilities
  • Interface with senior directors, program managers, functional managers, CAMs and business managers to provide financial support and analysis.
  • Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor costs and schedules for contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system, performing EVM tasks such as WBS development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis, and visibility reports.
  • Prepare estimates and analysis to ensure contracts remain within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of expenditures, prepare expenditure projections and submit timely requests for additional funding.
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management; support Annual Operating Plan, Resource Plan, and Long‑Range Strategic Plan activities.
  • Prepare financial inputs for internal reports and presentations (IPRS, dashboards, BARs, etc.).
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related professional experience – or a Master’s degree with 6 years of related professional experience.
  • Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts and ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs, and control accounts.
  • Strong PC skills, specifically Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting).
  • Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or related field).
  • Experience with COBRA, COGNOS, SAP.
