Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in our Devices Finance Reverse Logistics team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Reverse Logistics business in a role where you will have regular interaction with executives and product lines across the organization.

Be the finance steward for the Reverse Logistics Operations team, which has grown from four product lines to newly acquired Amazon businesses. Partnering with business leaders across product lines, you will work closely with business and finance teams to create financial models and repair cost return forecasts to drive Reverse Logistics Operations decision making. You will own the data strategy for monthly and quarterly business reviews, and deliver forward-looking financial insights that enable business partners to act with confidence.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, data collection and modeling capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

The role also requires regular interaction with various business teams, providing reporting and business support for decision making and ability to influence decisions through logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives/scenarios.

Key job responsibilities
  • Build models to forecast returned units and warranty expense for various products.
  • Build break-even models to provide accurate financial analysis and support Reverse Logistics Operations Team to make the correct end of repair decisions.
  • Establish and track cost-out goals. Organize monthly cost-out review meetings.
  • Coordinate and support the month-end/quarter-end close processes.
  • Develop models/metrics and prepare commentary for Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly business reviews.
  • Develop scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
