As our Assistant Director of Engineering
, you will support the Director of Engineering in overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the hotel’s building, equipment, systems, and facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring the property operates safely, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining the high standards expected at M Social Sunnyvale.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineering professional with strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a hands‑on approach to hotel maintenance. You will work closely with Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Security, and other hotel departments to quickly address maintenance needs and support an exceptional guest experience.

You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well‑functioning hotel environment for both guests and team members. Your leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail will contribute to the reliability of hotel systems, preventative maintenance efforts, operational efficiency, and overall guest satisfaction.

• Support the Director of Engineering in overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department
• Assist with the maintenance and operation of the hotel’s building systems, equipment, and facilities
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house areas, and mechanical spaces
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Prioritize urgent maintenance issues and coordinate appropriate response
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions
• Support the Engineering Department in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment

• Assist in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules for hotel equipment and systems
• Ensure routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks are completed according to established schedules
