Global HR Business Partner-Sunnyvale

We seek to hire a Global HR Business Partner – Alibaba Cloud, who will be a key member of the growing international HR team supporting Alibaba Cloud’s rapid expansion around the world. Alibaba Cloud, founded in 2009, is a global leader in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, providing services to thousands of enterprises, developers, and government organizations in more than 200 countries and regions.

Committed to the success of its customers, Alibaba Cloud provides reliable and secure cloud computing and data processing capabilities as a part of its online solutions. In January 2017, Alibaba Cloud became the official cloud services partner of the Olympics. The successful candidate will be based in Sunnyvale with occasional business travel.

Ideal candidate will contribute at both hands‑on and strategic levels to cultivate an amazing and innovative Alibaba culture as the organization grows and scales. In this position you will partner with senior business leaders and teams to develop and execute the HR strategies that champion organizational and people effectiveness in the region. You must understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda that supports the business in a fast‑paced environment.

• BA/BS Degree with at least 8 years of progressively responsible HR experience, and 5 years of regional experience as HRBP in Tech industry.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin, as the role will need to work with stakeholders based in HQ China.
• Have sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive information, and strong attention to detail and on‑time completion of deliverables.
• Able to takes initiatives with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Able to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly‑changing environment.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and partnerships at all levels of the organization, exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills, and execute, implement, and lead change management initiatives.
• Proven track record of working with senior management in an “influence‑without‑authority” role. Can confidently express your opinion, based on thoughtful data and analysis.
• Able to travel frequently when needed.
