Job Title

Human Resources Manager

Hours

Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with additional hours (including weekends) based on business needs.

Salary Range

$119,400 – $188,750, which is base pay with a 12% discretionary bonus structure. Compensation will be based on candidate qualifications.

Job Scope/Duties
  • Assists with developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Promotes an environment of employee engagement and high morale by ensuring equitable compensation, competitive benefits, and a strong team‑oriented, inclusive culture.
  • Administers compensation programs, including planning, analysis, and ongoing coordination with third‑party vendor.
  • Manages HR systems and programs, including benefits administration, HRIS, payroll, legacy defined‑benefit pension plans, and employee records.
  • Ensures accurate processes, regulatory compliance, and effective support for employees and retirees.
  • Oversees required filings and reporting of insured benefits, retirement plans, and other programs.
  • Manages staffing activities, including full‑cycle recruiting and selection.
  • Partners with leadership to support employee career development and professional growth.
  • Manages employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develops, updates, and communicates HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws in all aspects of HR operations.
  • Oversees and manages a wide range of regulatory, compliance, benefits, retirement, and financial audits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supports the implementation and continuous improvement of HR technology and systems to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Participates in HR department planning and budgeting.
  • Fosters a high level of organizational productivity, service, teamwork, and results.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Experience/Minimum Education Requirements
  • Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of current and progressively responsible human resources experience, including five to eight (5–8) years in a leadership role.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience managing HRIS platforms, HR databases, and benefits administration is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Requires highly effective leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, diplomacy and neutrality.
  • Thorough knowledge of current federal and CA employment laws and regulations.
  • Highly analytical and innovative with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong commitment to service excellence and professional standards.
  • Advanced proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
