The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a Linked In office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role reports to the VP, Benefits & Wellbeing and provides global leadership over Linked In’s Benefits & Wellbeing portfolio, ensuring programs are competitive, scalable, and aligned with the company’s culture and values. The leader will establish governance frameworks and consistent standards across global benefits programs including time off, retirement, insured benefits financing, and family and wellbeing initiatives, while partnering closely with regional and cross‑functional stakeholders.
This position serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, driving vendor strategy, financial stewardship, and clear, inclusive communication to enhance the employee experience worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide global leadership and governance for a $40M+ Benefits & Wellbeing portfolio, building a strong foundation of competitive programs, while identifying opportunities to further enhance impact and value in alignment with Linked In’s culture and values.
- Oversee global benefits policies and programs, including Global Absence & Time Off, Family Programs, EAP, Global Education Benefits, Perk Up! and more.
- Establish consistent standards and governance frameworks for critical areas of focus, including time off, retirement programs, international benefits brokerage and insured benefits financing strategy, in partnership with regional leaders to drive outcomes.
- Enhance benefits offerings in key initiatives including mental health, financial wellbeing and voluntary benefits strategies from development to execution to empower employees’ ability to improve their holistic wellbeing.
- Serve as the Benefits & Wellness lead for technology solutions and resource prioritization with partner teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating benefits strategy and data into clear, inclusive communications that drive understanding, engagement, and trust across the global workforce.
Basic Qualifications:
- 13+ years in benefits, total rewards, human resources, or a related field, including responsibility for global or multi‑regional benefits programs.
- 7+ years of people leadership, including leading managers and/or senior individual contributors in a complex, matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability designing, governing, and scaling global benefits programs, including conducting RFPs, leading vendor selections, negotiating contracts, and managing complex vendor and broker relationships.
- Proven ability to establish standards and governance frameworks across benefits programs while partnering with regional teams to drive consistent outcomes and local compliance.
- Strong analytical, financial, and program management skills, including budget stewardship, cost modeling, and data‑informed decision making.
- Proven performance influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders across HR, Legal, Finance, Technology, Communications, and Shared Services to deliver complex, high‑impact programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex benefits strategies and data into clear, inclusive employee and leader communications.
