Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in innovative engineering solutions, is seeking a Systems Administrator Lab Operations to join their team. As a Systems Administrator Lab Operations, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting device management, system maintenance, and lab infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, Linux expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Systems Administrator Lab Operations
Location: Sunnyvale, California
Pay Range: $53-58
What's the Job?
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and macOS systems using CLI and basic sysadmin practices.
- Configure and support Android devices using ADB for logging, debugging, flashing, and build validation.
- Perform server and hardware setup, including racking/stacking, components, IPMI checks, and cable management.
- Maintain lab network connectivity (TCP/IP, WiFi, DNS) and troubleshoot device‑level network issues.
- Write or run simple Python or Bash scripts to improve flashing reliability and automate routine test workflows.
What's Needed?
- ADB experience (preferred 3–5 years) for Android debugging, flashing, log capture, and file‑system navigation, or strong Linux system administration background with the ability to learn ADB quickly.
- Hands‑on Linux CLI usage for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Ability to write simple Python scripts and familiarity with Bash scripting for automation.
- Understanding of basic networking: IP configuration, routing basics, WiFi behavior, DNS.
- Experience performing device or hardware‑software validation in a lab, QA, or technical environment.
