• 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with 5 years of experience in security engineering, detection, or anti-abuse roles.

• Expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, security services, and infrastructure.

As the Director of Security Operations for Google Cloud, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic and technical vision for defense against security threats and abuse at global scale. You'll work with in the Cloud CISO product area, leading the highly technical function that builds and operates the core operational security capabilities for Google Cloud’s services and infrastructure.

You’ll utilize a unique blend of executive-level strategic leadership and deep technical expertise in security engineering to manage large‑scale, 24/7 security operations in a cloud environment. You’ll drive the roadmap for using advanced data science, machine learning, and automation to preemptively reduce security and abuse risks across Google Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $294,000-$414,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Define the multi‑year technical vision for next‑generation security operations, detection engineering, and anti‑abuse capabilities across GCP.
• Oversee the technical roadmap for analytical platforms and data science, ensuring infrastructure is optimized for speed and real‑time threat analysis.
• Develop a holistic incident management and Incident Response (IR) capability, directing anti‑abuse analytics to protect GCP enterprises and cloud infrastructure.
• Build strong executive relationships to integrate data‑driven insights, influence partner roadmaps, and achieve quantifiable risk reduction.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of security engineers. Manage the budget and project prioritization while ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.
