Business Development Manager; MaaS

We are partnering with a global cloud and AI infrastructure provider that delivers scalable computing, data, and advanced AI solutions to enterprises and high growth startups worldwide. As part of its continued US expansion, the Sunnyvale team is hiring an AI focused business development professional to drive Model as a Service growth across international markets.

• Global AI Client Expansion: Proactively develop and grow a strong pipeline of international AI customers, including AI native startups, ISVs, data providers, and enterprises advancing their AI transformation initiatives.
• End to End AI Revenue Ownership: Manage the complete sales cycle for AI MaaS opportunities across global markets, from prospecting and qualification to solution development, commercial structuring, and closing, with a focus on increasing token usage and overall revenue.
• Market Intelligence and GTM Contribution: Stay ahead of GenAI developments such as foundation models, agent ecosystems, AI infrastructure, and competitive landscape shifts, translating insights into customer focused solutions while supporting go to market strategies alongside product and marketing teams.
• Strategic Relationship Management: Establish and strengthen trusted partnerships with C suite executives and technical leaders within global AI driven organisations to drive retention, expansion, and long term value.
• AI Opportunity Co Development: Engage deeply with clients to understand their AI ambitions and operational challenges, collaboratively define high impact AI use cases, and articulate the value of large model solutions in clear business terms to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Cross Functional Execution: Partner closely with AI solutions, product, and marketing teams to build strong value propositions and lead workshops, demonstrations, and campaigns that foster confidence and accelerate adoption.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline is preferred, with a Master’s degree or MBA considered an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in sales, pre sales, technical, or product roles within AI, cloud, or software environments, with a strong track record of performance. Experience with in AI native organisations or major cloud providers is highly valued.

• Regularly works with leading LLMs and multimodal models, staying updated on advancements in model capabilities, agent frameworks, and broader industry developments. Exposure to prompt engineering and experimental coding practices is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of MaaS commercial models, with the ability to clearly communicate value propositions and apply GenAI knowledge across different industry use cases.
• Demonstrated success in supporting customers from proof of concept through to production deployment, including solution alignment, pricing discussions, and contracting, in collaboration with solution architects and product teams.
• Cloud and AI Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud and AI offerings such as compute instances, GPU resources, MaaS platforms, RAG architectures, and agent frameworks, with practical exposure to cloud sales, consulting, or operational functions.
• Personal Attributes: Quick to adapt, highly customer focused, goal oriented, self driven, and genuinely enthusiastic about advancing AI innovation in dynamic environments.
• Commercial Awareness: Solid understanding of consumption based and token driven revenue models, with the ability to position AI products to support customers’ growth strategies.
• Global Mindset: Able to collaborate effectively across regions, comfortable working across time zones, and open to international travel when required.
