Title: Atlassian Expert (Operations and Projects)

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 6 months+

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Range: $90 - $110/hr

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Sunnyvale, CA or Bellevue, WA)

Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is looking for two skilled Atlassian Experts to join their team for a 6-month+ engagement. This high-impact role is focused on handling both operational maintenance and new projects within a complex Atlassian ecosystem. The candidates will be proactive professionals expected to ramp up quickly with minimal oversight.

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operations & Project Management:
  Effectively handle both day-to-day operations and strategic projects within the Atlassian platform.
• Administration & Design:
  Implement, design, and administer core Atlassian tools, including workflow design, permissions, and automation rules across Jira, Confluence, and JSM.
• Automation & Integration:
  Build and support custom integrations, scripting, and automation within the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Technical Expertise:
  Serve as a subject matter expert for the client's Atlassian Cloud environment.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong Atlassian experience with hands‑on knowledge of Jira, Confluence, JSM, and Atlassian Cloud administration.
• Expertise in workflow design, permissions, automation rules, and integrations.
• Experience building and supporting custom integrations, scripting, and automation within the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, marketplace apps, and tools like Script Runner.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate alignment and provide clear, concise updates.
