Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. The team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross‑cut existing organizations and deliver high‑impact projects. Product strategy leaders help engineers, PMs, UX, and other functions build excellent products that delight users and deliver them to customers.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. They own and advocate for underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. The Core team influences technical decisions across the company and shapes the user experience across Google’s product suite.
Responsibilities- Drive core strategy and operations initiatives by leading long‑range and annual strategy planning processes and translating high‑level objectives into actionable roadmaps that empower Google’s product areas to innovate at scale.
- Act as a bridge across technical teams to support Core’s strategic agenda.
- Synthesize massive amounts of data into insights that influence critical investment and trade‑off decisions.
- Navigate highly ambiguous strategy projects by framing problems, recommending solution alternatives, and driving alignment on go‑forward approaches.
US: $176,000 – $257,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
