Information System Security Officer, Classified Cybersecurity

Overview

Final Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain Top Secret. ISSOs at Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA secure lifesaving products and critical manufacturing systems using cutting‑edge cybersecurity principles.

• Support day‑to‑day information system security operations, including hardware and software implementations.
• Perform technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Maintain, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
• Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the ISSM to address non‑compliance.
• Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and the security plan.
• Conduct audits as part of the role’s responsibilities.

• Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification.
• Information Systems auditing experience.
• Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard Information Assurance tools.
• Technical familiarity with Windows or Linux‑based operating systems and their security requirements.

• Knowledge of network security (encryption, firewalls, authentication, perimeter protection).
• Knowledge of network design processes, including security objectives, operational objectives, and trade‑offs.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGs, classified computer operations, and technical configuration requirements for various operating systems.
• Experience executing Security Hardening on diverse LINUX and Windows operating systems based on DISA STIGs and SRGs.
• Advanced knowledge of RMF as a Subject Matter Expert across multiple program phases.
• Experience configuring Windows, networking, and NIX‑based systems in accordance with DISA STIGs.
• In‑depth experience in system hardening, analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledgeable in Solaris/UNIX/Linux command line.
• Experience implementing complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments.
• Prior ISSE or System Administration experience.

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Annual base salary range: $113,900 – $200,905 in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metropolitan areas). Additional salary ranges apply for metropolitan locations.
