We are seeking a senior manager to lead a team focused on solving complex Wi-Fi performance challenges. The role involves optimizing product performance, developing systems for dynamic Wi-Fi environment tuning, and creating deployment planning tools for 802.11ac Wi-Fi networks.
You will hire and train software developers in Sunnyvale, CA, and Portland, OR. As a hands-on manager, you'll split your time between leading your team and coding in C/C++. Your team will analyze real-world Wi-Fi deployments, develop simulators for deployment planning, and automate testing for device performance and reliability. You will also ensure new products maximize component performance.
Qualifications- 10+ years in network software product development
- 5+ years as an engineering manager or lead engineer
- Deep knowledge of 802.11ac and 802.11n Wi-Fi protocols
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Experience in software performance optimization for networking devices
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with simulator development and usage
- Knowledge of BRCM and QCA architectures and chipsets
- Understanding of TCP/IP and IPv6
- Linux kernel and driver programming experience
- Knowledge of Bluetooth/BLE and iBeacon
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, TDD, and CI methodologies
Bachelor's in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering;
Master's preferred
Ability to start small and scale initiatives without limitations
Ideal CandidateExperience at companies like Meru Networks, Aruba Networks, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Ruckus Wireless, or Cisco Systems (wireless division)
