Web Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional to support our web release management process and ensure the smooth deployment of web applications and updates.

The Web Engineering Contractor will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Coordinate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan and execute the release of web applications and updates.
• Develop and maintain release processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Manage version control systems, including branching and merging strategies.
• Automate release and deployment tasks using relevant tools and technologies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve release management practices and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements during the release process.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in web release engineering.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in web release engineering, release management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of web development concepts, technologies, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with branching and merging strategies.
• Experience with release automation tools and technologies, such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or similar.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex release-related issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensure the quality and reliability of web releases.
