As a Senior Data Scientist at Walmart, you will leverage advanced analytical techniques and domain expertise to transform complex data into actionable business insights. The Person alization Data Science team develops advanced machine learning and AI‑driven solutions to enhance member engagement, retention, and business growth across Sam’s Club. The team builds and maintains Next Best Action models, personalized recommendation systems, and churn prediction models across multiple business domains. Leveraging techniques such as Large Language Models and agentic AI, the team improves recommendation quality, content understanding, and autonomous decision‑making.

This group drives innovation by creating scalable, intelligent customer experiences that power personalized interactions across various customer touchpoints, contributing significantly to the personalization ecosystem’s success.

• Identify and source relevant data from various business domains and databases, ensuring data quality and suitability for analysis.
• Develop, test, and deploy advanced analytical models using programming languages such as Python and SQL to solve complex business problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation to optimize predictive accuracy and robustness.
• Create clear, insightful data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives and support scalable model deployment.
• Mentor junior associates in data science methodologies and best practices.

• Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python programming, LLM, data engineering, feature engineering, and deep learning frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and best practices to effectively communicate insights.
• Expertise in data source identification, data quality assessment, and data strategy implementation.
• Ability to develop, test, validate, and deploy scalable analytical models in production environments.
