ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot Solaris OS and Sparc Hardware faults
Configure new systems, install OS, configure networking
Configure FC adapters and mount attached storage
Perform OS updates and apply security patches
Assist in maintaining CFEngine-based configuration management
Work with the Data SRE Organization for Requirements and Support of Solaris 11
Performance Tuning Solaris for Oracle
Automation Skills (Shell/Ruby/Python)
Review others' work and share knowledge
Basic QualificationsProficient in Solaris 11
Good working knowledge of IPF/PF, SMF and ZFS, Automated Build and Install
Oracle DB Dependencies/Solaris OS Configuration/Troubleshooting/Kernel Tunables/Patch and Package Administration knowledge required
Multipath Networking and EMC Storage
Preferred Qualifications5+ years' experience in Solaris Administration and Troubleshooting Solaris and Oracle Database Servers for Performance
Tooling and Automation Experience with Programming Language (Python/Ruby/Shell)
Experience building large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
Experience working at a large organization.
Configuration Management Experience
Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.
Experience building data center automation or cloud management systems at scale.
