Description of the Team The Business Systems team at Core Weave partners across Infrastructure, Data Center Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to build and scale the systems that power our global data center footprint. We own the architecture, integrations, and data models that enable accurate tracking and lifecycle management of infrastructure assets across high-growth, high-volume environments.
About the role:
We are seeking a Staff Business Systems Engineer to own and evolve the systems supporting Data Center infrastructure operations. This role is responsible for the end-to-end systems landscape spanning asset capacity planning, inbound hardware visibility, receiving, deployment readiness, and lifecycle tracking. You will design and maintain integrations between upstream Supply Chain systems and downstream Data Center platforms, ensuring accurate, real-time representation of infrastructure assets.
This is a hands-on role focused on architecture, systems ownership, and continuous improvement across critical operational platforms. You will work cross-functionally to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that support rapid infrastructure growth.
- Own the end-to-end business systems and solution architecture supporting the Data Center asset lifecycle across DCIM, CMDB, EAM, and related infrastructure platforms
- Define and evolve asset lifecycle, ensuring accurate representation of infrastructure assets from planned capacity through deployment and retirement
- Design and improve system workflows supporting asset readiness, including staging, configuration tracking, deployment status, and in-service visibility
- Define and manage data models to ensure accurate asset identity, hierarchy, and system-of-record alignment across platforms
- Collaborate with engineering, Supply Chain, and Data center teams to build and maintain APIs and integrations, enabling automation that reduces manual reconciliation and improves asset data integrity, real-time visibility, and tracking of inventory, WIP (work-in-progress), and deployed assets
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Infrastructure, DC Ops, and Supply Chain) to translate business requirements into scalable system configurations.
- Drive system standardization and consolidation to support high-volume assembly and deployment operations
- Define and manage the Data Center Systems roadmap, prioritizing scalability, reliability, clarity and consistency of asset data.
- Ensure systems support auditability and compliance for traceability and access control, partnering with Security and Compliance teams
- Act as the technical owner for cross-system issues impacting asset data integrity and lifecycle flow
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in Business Systems, Enterprise Applications, Systems Engineering, or Solutions Architecture
- Strong experience with operational platforms such as DCIM (e.g., Sunbird), CMDB (e.g., Service Now), or similar systems
- Experience designing and implementing systems that support the full asset lifecycle management in complex, high-scale Data Center environments
- Proven background in hardware manufacturing, infrastructure buildouts, or high-volume assembly environments
- Strong understanding of asset hierarchy modeling, infrastructure topology mapping, and audit/compliance requirements for infrastructure traceability
- Comfortable operating across ambiguous system problems, defining scalable architecture solutions, and possessing strong collaboration skills across DC operations, Supply Chain, and engineering teams
- Experience building and maintaining integrations between inventory, logistics, and Data Center platforms (DCIM, CMDB, etc.)
- Enable capabilities for asset capacity planning, inbound visibility, receiving readiness, deployment readiness, and lifecycle tracking
- Experience supporting global or multi-site data center environments
- Experience working in high-growth or rapidly scaling infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with asset capacity planning, WIP tracking, and inventory lifecycle systems
- Experience driving system consolidation and standardization across multiple platforms
- Exposure to financial systems or accounting workflows related to asset tracking
We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few…
