Snowflake Data​/Analytics Engineer 1

Capgemini is seeking a hands-on Snowflake Data/Analytics Engineer 1 for an onsite contract in Sunnyvale, CA. The role centers on driving the complete analytics lifecycle, from ingesting data sources to delivering production-ready assets and semantic models for enterprise reporting, leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 43 to 68 and a focus on building scalable data solutions for business insights.

• Data transformation:
  Develop and adapt dbt models within a Bronze-Silver-Gold layering framework to support robust analytics.
• Semantic layer:
  Create and refine semantic models in Power BI and implement complex DAX measures for accurate insights.
• Visualization:
  Design and enhance dashboards suitable for executive audiences using Power BI.
• Operations & support:
  Oversee end-to-end project delivery from source ingestion to final reporting.
• Troubleshooting:
  Identify root causes and resolve production issues and data quality problems across Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI.

• Snowflake data engineering:
  Strong hands-on experience designing pipelines, optimizing performance, and managing storage and compute within Snowflake.
• dbt mastery:
  Proven ability to build and manage modular dbt models in production environments.
• Power BI stack:
  Advanced proficiency in dashboards, semantic modeling, and DAX.
• Versatility:
  Demonstrated ability to balance fresh projects with rapid, production-oriented support.
