Position Summary... What you'll do... Role summary:The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees scalable infrastructure, Dev Ops practices, and cloud cost optimization while driving technical excellence and operational delivery across multiple teams. The position requires strong leadership in mentoring engineers, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding architectural decisions to ensure system reliability and performance.
The role champions continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration to deliver high-quality software solutions that support business objectives and enhance customer and associate experiences.
The retail services team develops and maintains core systems that enable seamless omni-channel experiences with speed and reliability. This group manages payment processing, directed spend, and promotional campaigns while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Focused on scalable, multi-tenant, client-agnostic solutions, the team supports business and customer needs through agile collaboration. Emphasizing technical excellence, continuous improvement, and strong governance, members work together to solve complex challenges, drive innovation, and uphold high standards of quality and performance across all deliverables.
Whatyou'll do:
- Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks to support scalable, secure development.
- Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, championing Dev Ops architecture and CI/CD practices.
- Implement cloud cost optimization and automation to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.
- Mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and promote technical quality and compliance standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to align engineering efforts with business goals and track key performance metrics.
- Foster continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and products.
- Proven leadership in platform engineering, overseeing software and AI/ML system execution aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Expertise in managing full software development lifecycle, including Dev Ops architecture, CI/CD, and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong skills in stakeholder and project management, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Experience guiding architectural reviews and system design for scalable, maintainable, and secure platforms.
- Ability to mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in integrating AI/ML components and collaborating across product, data science, and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage operational delivery, incident response, and performance metrics.
