Vehicle Testing Specialist

Tue-Fri, 2PM-10:30PM & Sat, 9AM-5:30 OR Mon-Thur, 2PM-10:30PM & Sun, 9AM-5:30 (PST)

6 month contract

Hire Art is helping our client hire a Vehicle Testing Specialist to be responsible for daily testing activities for its autonomous vehicle programs. In this role, you will execute test plans, support a wide range of testing functions, and report on testing outcomes to provide crucial information for the software development teams.

• Monday-Friday, 9AM-5:30PM (2-3 week)

• Tues‑Fri, 2:00PM-10:30PM & Sat, 9:00AM-5:30PM
• Mon‑Thu, 2:00PM-10:30PM & Sun, 9:00AM-5:30PM
• Weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday) will eventually extend to 10:30PM

• Execute test plans on AV and ADAS development vehicles.
• Coordinate and improve testing procedures together with SW engineers and operations teams.
• Provide detailed notes and formal reports of testing activities and results.
• Work with the vehicle operators to conduct testing professionally and efficiently.
• Be a safety champion for the vehicle testing programs.

• 2+ years of hardware or software testing, data entry, or similar technical experience
• Experience with troubleshooting issues on computers or other hardware
• Must be extremely detail-oriented
• A collaborative mindset and deep interest in understanding the functionality of autonomy software
• Prior experience with ADAS, autonomous vehicles, or other automotive work

• Experience in the following:
  • Software development practices
  • Linux
  • Software tools/services like Slack, Jira, and Confluence
  • Google Workspace

This is a full-time, 6‑month contract position staffed via Hire Art. It is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA and open to candidates local to the Bay Area.
