Legal Counsel

In this Corporate Counsel role, you'll play a critical role in negotiating, drafting, and advising on complex legal matters that drive our technology and business forward.
Key Job Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive legal support for manufacturing, procurement, and technology licensing initiatives globally
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with precision and strategic insight
- Counsel business teams on intricate supply chain, intellectual property, and regulatory matters
- Proactively resolve legal challenges and manage potential pre-litigation disputes
Your day will be a blend of strategic legal counseling, contracts negotiation, and collaborative problem-solving. As Corporate Counsel, you'll engage with cross-functional teams, diving into fascinating legal challenges surrounding international consumer electronics manufacturing and supply chains as well as emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, ambient computing, and wearables and maturing areas like smart speakers, security cameras, tablets, TVs, and eReaders. Each day brings unique opportunities to provide nuanced legal guidance that supports Amazon's rapid innovation.

Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
- Knowledge of manufacturing, internationals supply chain, and logistics.
