Overview
Engineering Logistics & Inventory Specialist — Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
We are seeking an Engineering Logistics & Inventory Specialist to support a fast‑paced engineering organization. This role is focused on inventory control, procurement coordination, shipping logistics, and hardware support
. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in an on-site engineering or manufacturing environment.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring parts, hardware, and materials are properly tracked, available, and delivered on time to support ongoing engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory control
, including tracking incoming and outgoing parts and materials - Order parts and hardware from online vendors and local manufacturers
- Work with procurement systems to submit and track purchase requests (ERP experience preferred)
- Coordinate domestic and international shipping of hardware and materials
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and improve tracking processes
- Support engineering teams with hardware build tracking and BOM-related items
- Track and manage software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals
- Maintain operational trackers using Google Sheets and related tools
- Coordinate closely with engineers and operations stakeholders to ensure inventory accuracy
- 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, procurement, operations, or office administration
- Hands-on experience with inventory tracking and purchasing workflows
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Experience coordinating shipping and receiving activities
- Strong proficiency with Google Workspace
, especially Google Sheets - Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, Monday through Friday
- Experience in an automotive, hardware engineering, or manufacturing environment
- Operations or lab support background
- Exposure to ERP or procurement platforms (Oracle preferred)
- Contract role with potential for extension based on performance
- Hands-on, collaborative role supporting engineering teams
- Onsite environment with limited hybrid flexibility after training
