Overview

At Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, we have an opening for a supply chain planning analyst to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. This full‑time, On Site role supports the Maritime/Land Systems & Sensors division and works on existing programs while exploring new opportunities to shape our portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of suppliers for the operating unit, managing all phases from supplier strategy and proposal through negotiation, award, execution, and ongoing supplier activities.
  • Ensure suppliers meet committed schedules, terms, conditions, contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings to support mission success.
  • Interface and collaborate with other functions of the program team.
  • Analyze and aggregate supply/demand requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate program requirements.
  • Monitor and establish material inventory.
  • Report CAM/EV.
  • Address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
  • Evaluate suppliers and note key performance indicators.
  • Forecast material receipts and communicate variances to forecast.
  • Create and release requisitions.
  • Receive and review requirements for non‑standard parts.
  • Analyze lead times and identify critical‑path procurements.
  • Develop and understand proposal/execution strategy and structures.
  • Maintain strong business acumen and operate in a fast‑paced development environment.
  • Define and develop material strategy.
  • Plan inventory, distribution requirements, production, material, and rough‑cut capacity for all products.
  • Participate in make‑buy process, long‑term capacity and resource planning, product phase‑in/phase‑out, manufacturing ramp‑up, end‑of‑life management, and product‑line management.
  • Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using MRP tools.
  • Plan inventory levels based on Bill‑of‑Materials requirements and adjust supply requirements based on inventory.
  • Interface with source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital, and other areas.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain, business, or program management, or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Earned Value Management Systems.
  • ASCM/APICS Supply Chain Certifications.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in supplier onboarding and certification efforts.
  • Extensive experience managing critical submarine industrial supply base.
  • Extensive background in technical and engineering requirements for industrial and manufacturing contracts.
Offer

Salary range: $146,300 – $219,500.
