Role Overview
Our client seeks a Logistics Coordinator to help revolutionize inventory management and consignment processes. This role focuses on designing and optimizing logistics operations to support scalable, automated consignment capabilities across the supply chain. By integrating advanced technology solutions, you will contribute to achieving cost efficiency, operational transparency, shipment traceability, and robust inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute logistics strategies to support scalable consignment capabilities and efficient inventory management.
- Oversee the transportation and distribution network with multi-tier suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with industry standards in multi-vendor environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate logistics processes with technology platforms like SAP and other supply chain systems.
- Optimize inbound and outbound logistics workflows to enhance cost-effectiveness and transparency.
- Monitor and improve logistics KPIs, including on-time delivery, transportation cost savings, and inventory turnover rates.
- Support the adoption of new logistics technologies and processes, providing training and guidance to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to transportation, customs compliance, and supply chain disruptions.
- Conduct logistics data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, and inventory management is required. Prior experience partnering with Accounting teams during month-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliation, and variance analysis is also required.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with logistics and ERP tools, such as SAP, SAP GTS, and other supply chain technologies is required. A strong understanding of multi-vendor and consignment logistics practices is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
- Familiarity with customs regulations and global trade compliance.
