Engineering Program Manager, Demo Production Engineering
Sunnyvale, California, United States Corporate Functions
DescriptionWe are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to lead the global planning and execution of customer‑facing demo experiences across 500+ Apple Stores worldwide. You will operate at the intersection of retail strategy and engineering execution, driving intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning for multiple concurrent initiatives that span hardware, software, services, and retail operations. You will establish the operational processes, governance frameworks, and cross‑functional rhythms that align Engineering, Product, Marketing, Creative, and Business stakeholders on what matters most.
You will bridge business and engineering — translating ambiguous requirements into actionable technical solutions and delivery plans, and influencing executive stakeholders through prioritization, tradeoff analysis, and data‑driven recommendations.
- Lead global planning and execution for customer‑facing demo experiences across Apple Stores globally. Drive intake, prioritization, alignment and roadmap planning for concurrent initiatives spanning hardware, software, services, and retail operations.
- Own the demo production engineering sprint cadence end‑to‑end. Sequence and run bundle production work streams, from weekly sprints to cross‑functional program execution for larger NPI moments in partnership with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations.
- Bridge creative, business and engineering, translating ambiguous requirements into actionable technical solutions and delivery plans. Oversee the collection and curation of creative assets for demo deployments.
- Establish scalable operational processes, governance frameworks, and analytics that improve execution readiness, stakeholder alignment, and delivery predictability. Define KPIs and stakeholder requirements to develop dashboards for operational visibility, post‑deploy verification and decision making.
- Influence executive stakeholders through clear keynotes and data‑driven recommendations to maximize business impact and resource utilization. Streamline reporting and leadership updates to improve GTM speed, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- 5+ years as an EPM or TPM driving complex, multi‑disciplinary programs delivered against non‑negotiable hardware‑software release schedules. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to drive intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning across 10+ concurrent initiatives with competing executive priorities and shared engineering resources.
- Experience translating ambiguous business and creative requirements into engineering specs, delivery plans with risk mitigated.
- Hands‑on experience with Splunk, Snowflake and Tableau: dashboard design, metric definition, and partnering with engineers on instrumentation.
- Hands‑on experience with devices spanning multiple Apple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS).
- Hands‑on fluency with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Proven track record of introducing or maturing program rituals (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retros, status cadences).
- Direct experience program‑managing Marcom production pipelines, interactive campaign activations, 3D asset creation pipelines, game engines (Unity, Unreal), demo apps, digital builds and in‑store creative deployments at fleet scale, including direct management of both external creative vendors and an internal production team delivering against globally localized launches (multi‑country, multi‑language).
- Experience using AI to improve workflows and effectiveness.
- Program‑managing NPI launches tied to hardware release calendars across multiple product families, including pre‑release disclosure environments.
- Experience program‑managing content or software delivery to globally distributed retail or field environments (500+ sites, multi‑locale, OTA distribution).
