Compensation $85K – $100K/year (based on experience)

Location Sunnyvale, CA

Shifts Available 1st shift (6:30am - 3:30pm) 2nd shift (10:30am - 7:30pm)

Environment 1st shift (Production Line) 2nd shift (Cleanroom)

Type Long-term contract with strong potential for full-time conversion

Job Details

We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Technician with strong electro‑mechanical assembly and testing experience to support both prototype and production builds. The ideal candidate has experience assembling PCBAs and electro‑mechanical systems, building cable harnesses, and performing functional testing and hardware validation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro‑mechanical assemblies and PCBAs, including subassemblies and prototypes, by following drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Build electrical cables and cable harnesses using wiring diagrams, soldered and crimped connectors.
  • Bring up PCBAs and perform functional testing and hardware validation, executing test programs to verify system performance and reliability.
  • Debug and fault‑find electrical and mechanical assemblies using engineering principles and structured troubleshooting techniques.
  • Follow and execute maintenance procedures to ensure equipment and systems operate correctly.
  • Create and update work instructions and test documentation using computer‑based tools.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with electro‑mechanical assembly and PCBA build and/or bring‑up.
  • Ability to build cable harnesses and solder electrical connections, with understanding of good vs. poor solder joints.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to debug electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiar with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and basic diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
  • Computer‑literate, with experience using documentation tools and running CLI‑based utilities or device programmers.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment;
    Class 10,000 or ISO 7; full bunny suit (2nd shift only).
  • Experience supporting hardware validation, functional testing, or final test/QC.
  • Familiar with production support, rework, or repair activities.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles applied in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience creating work instructions and documentation for assembly or test processes.
