The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is looking for its next enthusiastic and motivated Systems Engineer. This individual will work in a dynamic team environment integrating and maintaining the THAAD system integration laboratory. THAAD is a cutting‑edge missile defense system that protects our nation and its allies from ballistic missile threats.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot lab issues, support Failure Review Boards
- Work cross-functionally to integrate and proof new system capabilities
- Operate THAAD Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testbeds
- Develop necessary documentation to support lab operations (procedures, configuration docs, drawings, etc.)
- Experience working in a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), development, or lab environment
- Windows and/or Unix/Linux proficiency
- Familiarity with networking and system administration
- Familiarity with the missile defense sector
- Familiarity with working in a classified environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally with test, software, and systems engineering organizations
- Familiarity with Jira and Agile
- Obtaining Security+ within first year
- Experience in real-time simulation operation
- Experience with updating/developing drawings and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to understand complex systems, and to work independently to perform research necessary to solve system level issues

Work ScheduleLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered:
