We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full‑time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious New Grad Embedded Test Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale. This role is designed for early‑career engineers eager to dive into the world of automotive systems validation, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality for our products. You will have the opportunity to bridge the gap between software requirements and physical reality, working on complex engineering problems across Vehicle Intelligence stacks.

This is a unique environment where you can build the path forward rather than just following rigid standards, thriving in a dynamic atmosphere that rewards technical agility and innovative thinking.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Learn to develop, program, and execute comprehensive test cases based on complex system requirements.

  • Gain hands‑on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches, Lab Cars, and vehicle testing.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to execute integration tests across automotive components like infotainment, telematics, and sensors.

  • Support root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts when tests fail, working closely with cross‑functional development teams.

  • Assist in setting up and configuring HIL test environments to validate system performance.

  • Write Python scripts for test automation to improve validation efficiency and coverage.

  • Work alongside mentors to interface with OEM customers, ensuring smooth integration of functions and clear reporting of test results.

We're looking for someone who has:
  • A recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field graduating by December 2026.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of systems engineering principles and a desire to apply them to the automotive or EV sectors.

  • Academic or internship experience with Python or another coding language for scripting and basic automation.

  • A proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and environments.

  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to document technical findings clearly and accurately.

  • Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Nice to have:
  • Active involvement in SAE/FSAE or similar hands‑on engineering collegiate competitions, demonstrating practical “coach” potential.

  • Familiarity with automotive network architectures and protocols…
