The primary objective for this person is to have the ability to work on a variety of products, meeting quality and productivity goals within Manufacturing and Service environments. This person will work closely with fellow team members and management to achieve team performance goals for troubleshooting, testing, repairs, equipment maintenance and MRB evaluation services, meeting Quality and Productivity goals within manufacturing and service.

This person will play a significant role in the areas of Efficiency, First Pass Yield, Hours Reporting Accuracy, Scrap, Inventory Accuracy, and Time Lost Accuracy. Goals will be set within each review period, and performance will be measured against them.

• Assemble a variety of products according to standard work instructions and prints.
• Operate and set up (as needed) production equipment/fixtures.
• Become proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety, and productivity.
• Perform preparation work such as line clearance, setting up production boards, and setting up goals for each workstation.
• Crosstrain or mentor others in areas of expertise (as needed).
• Properly complete manufacturing documentation. Initiate basic material requests, report quality issues, report efficiency, and record measurements as needed. May report work order information into the computer.
• Maintain the accuracy of identification and count of point-of-use materials. Accurately determine and report material shortages.
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve production issues and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support various Lean Manufacturing initiatives that involve a manufacturing-based team.
• Review and disposition of discrepant material. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability (for tooling and assembly methods). Provide suggested change proposals or tooling concepts during the early design process phase to Engineering.
• Follow all corporate, regulatory, safety, and production policies and procedures.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record.

Required Skills, Experience, Education, and Training

• Effective use of troubleshooting and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, and custom test platforms
• Understand wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, fab drawings, and mechanical component drawings
• Document findings of investigation in quality notifications, which are part of official Device History Records.
